keeping Kerstyn happy...

has been difficult to do the past couple of days!! I guess her sleeping on me, or with me for 3 days has messed her up pretty badly! She can't seem to go to sleep, and is pretty frustrated about the whole thing. We know she's tired, but she just won't go to sleep. So, we spend the day with a very cranky little girl - who is satified w/things for a very short time. Daddy did a great job at coming up with different things to look at, and do every 5 mins - he's the best!!

Oh poor Ashlee...

Kerstyn and Ashlee are getting so much closer these days. I think Ashlee is begining to like her more.

Well, Kerstyn enjoyed putting dead grass on Ashlee, and thought it was hillarious. I got some video of it, but was on the phone w/the insurance company - and so it got cut short - plus Kerstyn wanted to eat some dirt from an old lid to a water bottle that was burried in the grass.

The other pictures are just things I was playing with on our camera, and the other video is just cute of Kerstyn whinning a bit - then she gets a fat lip at the end - which I think is cute.

different things-different days

Katie and Joshua came and stayed w/us Monday night so we could all wake up and go to the consignment sale early Tuesday morning. Well, we woke up early - but the kids had different plans - then there's the whole actually getting out the door w/a toddler and newborn that is exclusively breastfed.

We were finally on the road around 9, and it was the start to a very, very long day. Kerstyn started acting more than usual fussy at the sale, and I ended up putting her in a carrier I had for sale there that didn't sell. She was then a little better, but wasn't at all herself. Katie had to leave not once, but twice to tend to Joshua. One time he was hungry, and then well he had releaved himself a little later. Let me tell you what - that child weighs what Kerstyn did at her 1 year birthday party!! He is a chunk! His little rolls on his legs have rolls. I just dunno how she cleans all the flaps in the rolls - seriously...lol! She's got some power milk - let me tell ya!!

So then, we went to lunch. Katie went to the van to feed Joshua, and Kerstyn wanted me to hold her-where she passed out asleep on my chest. Totally not my child to 1 not want to eat, and 2 sleep some place other than her bed, or carseat. She was burning up! She ran a fever from Tuesday until the middle of the night last night, and today she was totally back to normal :). Jason even said he couldn't believe how fast she recovered. They took a little tractor ride last night, and that made her happy, and I got a pic :).

Today - she played inside, and outside. We took a walk, and she laughed a whole lot. She was a little whinny, but that was because she couldn't seem to fall asleep. I guess because she'd slept so much the past couple of days. So, she only took about a 45 min. nap today - so hopefully she will sleep well tonight since I'm up so late :).

Oh, and I made that blanket that's on Joshua in the 1st picture. My very first whole real project that I finished - yay for me!! It only took a little over 3 years, but I finally am using my machine...lol!

what happens when momma aint lookin

Since Kerstyn loves to color we got some sidewalk chalk, and have been having lots of fun with it. I rigged her play yard around the back porch so I can leave the back door open while she runs in and out playing. Well, while I was cooking dinner she colored on the door (inside and out), brick, and the back of the couch...yikes! It came off easily, but it was all over the place - in different colors too. My mom thought it was hillarious, but I told her it wasn't funny...hehe!! I told her she'd get to experience her tantrums and everything when we go to see her in a couple of weeks. I just hope she doesn't crack up at something Kerstyn does - because then I'll loose it and laugh too.

Our 1st bday party to really play at :)

We went to Planet Pizza for Karleigh's 5th birthday, and had a great time. Kerstyn had a blast crawling in the tube things - going down slides, and riding rides. Karleigh and Kerstyn were saying wheeeee on this ride, and I was screaming - what a whimp!

while we were at aunt Katie's house Kerstyn started dancing for a really long time to the main menu music on Car's. She had to of danced for 10 or more minutes total, and it cracked us up.

When I say in here "she is so cute - I wonder if she'll stay that way" I'm referring to if she will stay that way when I change positions to get a frontal view. I know she will always stay cute :)!!!! Get ready to laugh...

gettin a snack & 1st time to sit in new art desk

Kerstyn got this art desk from Karleigh, and she absolutely loves it!! She sits in it all the time. Her most favorite thing to do is color, and so this comes in very handy. She also loves her Elmo chair that we got her for Christmas. It giggles everytime she sits in it, or it moves. Now she likes to just pick it up, and flip it over sometimes just to hear it giggle.

She has grown so much!! She now has all 4 front top teeth, and 3 on the bottom + four mollars - 1 on each side of her mouth. Last night I stuck my finger in her mouth to see if there were any new teeth coming in, and she bit my figner HARD!!! It bleed, and there are now 2 slices where her mollar cut my finger. So, I dunno if there are anymore - and I'll only know if she opens her mouth for me. She says all kinds of thing, but nothing on demand...of course. She can say kitty, bubble, hello, yellow, tree, ball, shoe, Ashlee (we know what she's saying, but someone else may not :) ), and she can sign for more, all done/gone and please (although this one is rare). The words she says most often are bubble, kitty and shoe - oh and hello when the phone is ringing for real, or on TV...pretty cute!! She can also say a, b, c, d of the abc song - this is because every single toy made says the abc's, and so do the TV shows. She has also started giving hugs more, and is not being so stingy with those, but we still rarely get kisses. She has started taking a liking to her smaller stuffed animals and dolls, and will hug them and carry them around for a min with one arm. When she hugs you, the kitty (Mr. Blue), Ashlee, or a doll/stuffed animal she also says hhmmmmmm - I guess that's just her lovin on you sound - the thumb almost always goes into the mouth too when she hugs on Ashlee or kitty. She is also still lovin her raggies - oh she says that too, but it's more like gigie, and when she see's a gigie the thumb goes into the mouth - only the right one.

Kerstyn's Christmas

Kerstyn had a great time on Christmas with everybody! She woke up from her nap a little cranky, but got over it soon. She was in a great mood, and had a blast opening presents and playing with everyone. She's got too much stuff!!!!!!

We only had the presents under the tree for a couple of days, and you can see why. The bottom of the tree is now bear, and the top is full of stuff...lol. She had fun taking things off the tree and running from me as I tried to get it. We play chase everyday now just because she thought it was so much fun, and I tell her I'm gonna get you...

Kerstyn just loves to read, and she is actually reading this book outloud. It was so cute - I've got it on video - I'll see if I can post it too :).

she loves elmo!!! I think she loves dancing more tho, and does it all the time to anything that has a beat to it. She's so cute!

Kerstyn loves it when I push her around the house in her shopping cart, but doesn't like it much when we stop. At least I'm in better shape now - so I can last a bit longer :).
